Finding song titles (or variations of them) that match my FOTD is starting to become one of my favourite weekly tasks. Nothing like a bit of Aretha on a Friday morning eh!
This week’s look is a pretty simple, pretty natural-looking shimmery eye using Makeup Revolution’s amazing 144 eyeshadow palette. I guess if I was going for a completely natural look, I probably should have picked matte shadows, but I find they tend to be a bit aging on me.
This makeup is all about glowy skin, rosy cheeks and a really fresh finish.
It’s the sort of look I throw on at the weekend when I’m not doing much. If I’m just vegging out at home I’ll skip the makeup entirely, but if Gary and I go out to lunch or the cinema or something, then this look gets an outing.
Kinda like a healthier, better-looking version of me!
I used these three soft shadows on the far left, a pale cream in the inner corners, soft golden-rose all over and a bit of shimmery taupe in the outer corners for a little definition.
I then tightlined my top lashline with a black felt tip liner, and applied lashings of my favourite No.7 Exceptional Definition Mascara.
The lipstick is new from last week and isn’t it fab??
A perfect soft pink with slight brown undertones. Natural, easy to apply and even easier to wear.
It goes with everything!
Concealer: Collection’s Lasting Perfection Concealer in 01 ‘Fair’.
Foundation: Max Factor Skin Luminizer Foundation in ‘Natural’
Eyebrows: L’Oreal’s Brow Artiste eyebrow pencil in ‘Blonde’ (and eeesh, I really need to pluck my brows!)
Eyeliner: Collection’s Extreme 24h felt tip eyeliner in Black.
Mascara: No. 7’s Exceptional Definition mascara (love love love)
Blusher: Barry M Blusher in BL4 ‘Raspberry’ (VERY bright so you only need a little!)
Highlighter: Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighter in ‘Peach Lights’.
Lipstick: Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick in 077 ‘Asia’
Are you all getting sick of my face yet?
Friday at last. Hurrah!
It’s been a good week for me. Vicky and I are off to a fancy restaurant for dinner tonight. I’ve bullied her into agreeing to get all dressed up. Because SO FANCY.
I’m taking my camera along and can’t wait to share it with y’all next week!
Then I’m going to the Nuffnang workshop on Saturday afternoon, out for dinner with Gary and his workmates on Saturday night and then on Sunday we’re thinking of going to see The Imitation Game.
Have any of you seen it? What did you think?
In other news, I’m currently in the middle of an epic battle with the ASOS website. There’s a coat I’ve had my eye on for WEEKS (this one!) and it’s suddenly back in stock, in my size and I have a magic voucher to spend. But because of stupid Black Friday madness the website keeps crashing!
I can literally feel my blood pressure rising as the stupid thing keeps reloading… I don’t even need the discount, I JUST WANT THE COAT!!!
Have you managed to bag any good deals in the sale yet? :)
