Finding song titles (or variations of them) that match my FOTD is starting to become one of my favourite weekly tasks. Nothing like a bit of Aretha on a Friday morning eh!

This week’s look is a pretty simple, pretty natural-looking shimmery eye using Makeup Revolution’s amazing 144 eyeshadow palette. I guess if I was going for a completely natural look, I probably should have picked matte shadows, but I find they tend to be a bit aging on me.

This makeup is all about glowy skin, rosy cheeks and a really fresh finish.

It’s the sort of look I throw on at the weekend when I’m not doing much. If I’m just vegging out at home I’ll skip the makeup entirely, but if Gary and I go out to lunch or the cinema or something, then this look gets an outing.

Kinda like a healthier, better-looking version of me!

I used these three soft shadows on the far left, a pale cream in the inner corners, soft golden-rose all over and a bit of shimmery taupe in the outer corners for a little definition.

I then tightlined my top lashline with a black felt tip liner, and applied lashings of my favourite No.7 Exceptional Definition Mascara.

The lipstick is new from last week and isn’t it fab??

A perfect soft pink with slight brown undertones. Natural, easy to apply and even easier to wear.

It goes with everything!

Concealer: Collection’s Lasting Perfection Concealer in 01 ‘Fair’.
Foundation: Max Factor Skin Luminizer Foundation in ‘Natural’
Eyebrows: L’Oreal’s Brow Artiste eyebrow pencil in ‘Blonde’ (and eeesh, I really need to pluck my brows!)
Eyeliner: Collection’s Extreme 24h felt tip eyeliner in Black.
Mascara: No. 7’s Exceptional Definition mascara (love love love)
Blusher: Barry M Blusher in BL4 ‘Raspberry’ (VERY bright so you only need a little!)
Highlighter: Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighter in ‘Peach Lights’.
Lipstick: Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick in 077 ‘Asia’

Are you all getting sick of my face yet?

Friday at last. Hurrah!

It’s been a good week for me. Vicky and I are off to a fancy restaurant for dinner tonight. I’ve bullied her into agreeing to get all dressed up. Because SO FANCY.

I’m taking my camera along and can’t wait to share it with y’all next week!

Then I’m going to the Nuffnang workshop on Saturday afternoon, out for dinner with Gary and his workmates on Saturday night and then on Sunday we’re thinking of going to see The Imitation Game.

Have any of you seen it? What did you think?

In other news, I’m currently in the middle of an epic battle with the ASOS website. There’s a coat I’ve had my eye on for WEEKS (this one!) and it’s suddenly back in stock, in my size and I have a magic voucher to spend. But because of stupid Black Friday madness the website keeps crashing!

I can literally feel my blood pressure rising as the stupid thing keeps reloading… I don’t even need the discount, I JUST WANT THE COAT!!!

And breathe.

Have you managed to bag any good deals in the sale yet? :)

I love natural looking makeup :) and the colours you’ve paired together all look lovely! I love the look of the mascara you’ve used too, I haven’t really tried much from No 7 but I definitely should as people do always talk about their range xx

One Little Vice – UK Beauty Blog

    • I’ve tried a couple of their eyeshadows which are quite good, and I LOVE this mascara, but to be honest I haven’t tried a lot of their stuff! It’s definitely on my list though :) their lip colours look really good as well! xxx

  • Loove the eye colours, I do need to buy that palette! I haven’t really bought anything on the sales, though I did pick up one Christmas present as it was a bargain. Hope you have a good weekend! x

Jasmin Charlotte | UK Lifestyle Blog

    • Yeah, I think only a small handful of the Christmas presents I got were ACTUALLY on sale, but I figured I might as well get it all out of the way early :) xxx

  • That eye shadow palette is amazing!!! I wish I could do a natural look on myself like this, it looks sooooo pretty – I just feel uncomfortable going out with black cat flick eyeliner on now wah :(

The Velvet Black // UK Style, Beauty Blog

    • It takes some getting used to for sure! I’m still a massive fan of the black cat flick and red lip :) just sometimes I really can’t be bothered, and this is so easy to throw on haha! :) xxx

  • You’re always so busy at the weekends! Don’t talk to me about Black Friday. For the past few days Amazon had reduced their kindle fire and I was going to get one. Come midnight today they put the price up! Still discounted from the original price but still! You wouldn’t think a Black Friday price would be more expensive than the price of the day before would you?! AGHHH!! Rant over. x

    Amy at Amy & More

    • I sound busier than I am I think haha. I still somehow manage to find plenty of time for lying n bed and watching Netflix!!

That’s SO annoying that they put the price back up for you!! :( such a silly thing to do as well!!! xx

  • The shimmer really brightens the whole look – it’s gorgeous! I just received this palette today – your swatches have been so helpful so far! Looking forward to the rest of your looks for some inspiration :) x

    • I’m so glad you’ve found it helpful Mairi! :D how are you finding the palette? xx

      • I’ve been loving it so far! Haven’t delved into any of the neon shades yet but I’ve been enjoying the shimmery neutral shades a lot! Hoping to create some Christmassy looks for the blog :) xx

  • I love your eye make up, the shades you’ve picked are really pretty and they work so well together! xx

  • ninegrandstudent

Oh, would love to see the coat! I’ve been avoiding the sales – but it is my birthday (21!) next week so I have been banned from buying anything. Need to finish Christmas shopping though, and I have four important birthdays to buy for in the next month too… x

    NINEGRANDSTUDENT: A Student Lifestyle Blog

    • I’m planning an outfit post for when it arrives Chloe! :)

HAPPY EARLY-BIRTHDAY!! :D what do you have planned for it?? xxx

      • ninegrandstudent

        I don’t know – lots of surprises! x

  • Heather

I like this natural look a lot :) the mascara looks brilliant on you. Mascara is my number 1 necessity and I’m always up for trying out new ones so I’ll be heading to Boots and straight to No.7! I managed to get a pair of Topshop sparkly leggings – nicer than they sound – that I’d wanted for ages at half price in the black friday sales – result! Hope you got your coat and have a fab weekend!

    Heather x

    • Definitely give the mascara a shot Heather, and let me know what you think! I absolutely love it :) xx

  • Gosh thats an incredible eyeshadow collection! love this shimmery look – so pretty!

    • Thanks Sorcha! Yeah, that’s pretty much what I do haha :) my other favourite lip for this look is the Kate Moss for Rimmel in 107 xx
