Ahh isn’t that lovely?
Here’s a cute photo of me, before I became the sneezy, snotty, grumpy, oh-so-unattractive monster I am at the moment… (My boyfriend’s really enjoying living with me right now. Not.)
It seems Scotland’s lovely fresh air didn’t agree with my lovely London-polluted lungs, and I’ve caught a cold. A hideous, horrible, stinking cold. The worst one I’ve had in years, in fact.
Yesterday I called in sick to work, and spent the day in bed, napping, eating (everything), watching episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race (Team Latrice ♥), napping, and doing a bit of online window shopping.
After writing last week’s post about my personal style, I’ve been keeping an eye out for some good tailored basics, as well as some more statement pieces that will help make my wardrobe not quite as boring as it is right now.
I started saving them all into a folder on my desktop (so I wouldn’t forget what I want) and then realised that everything I’d saved was perfectly color coordinated. So I put it all together into a pretty little collage of things I’m currently saving up for…
The blue suede jacket from Mango is reaaaally high on my wishlist at the moment, mostly because the color is just stunning. I also spotted this white blazer on Ellie last week and now I want it. I want it baaaad. I’ve been craving a pantsuit ever since they came back into style a few years ago, and the Cinderella blue of this one is just gorgeous.
Gary and I are off to Singapore in less than a month’s time, and I have zero summery clothes to wear (due to the aforementioned weight gain). So I’ve bookmarked a couple of dresses to pick up before I go, including this fabulous red bardot dress. I’m not entirely sure is going to suit my shape, but I AM entirely sure it’s going to make me look like the dancing lady emoji, so I think I’ll be fine.
I had my eye on the black crochet dress as a possible outfit option for the Greek wedding I’m going to this summer, but that got a big fat no from everyone on Twitter (even from Emma!) cos apparently I’ll be too hot. But it’s also too pretty to leave behind… so I might buy it anyway, even if I don’t wear it to the wedding.
Oh and yeah, the fake Gucci loafers are also on this list. Call me basic, I don’t care. THEY’RE PRETTY AND I WANT THEM.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to make my third cup of Lemsip of the day… Happy Wednesday![show_shopthepost_widget id=”2603303″]
