If you follow me on Twitter and/or on Instagram, you’ll know that Vix and I went to Lily and Anna‘s Picnic Meetup in Grosvenor Square last week.
It was a gorgeous sunny day and we had a blast having our giggly catch-up over salads, hummus, crisps, cookies and delicious Lemon Drizzle cake (cheers Anna!).
The girls started off butterflying from blanket to blanket for chats, but soon people started forming a queue to meet them (how English!) and it became a sort of receiving line that seemed to have no end.
About half-two we realised the queue had got a bit out of hand and, as Vix had to leave at 3pm, we gave in, cleared up our stuff and wandered off on our own to take some outfit photos.
So what does one wear to an English Summer picnic?
Well when the weather is as hot as it’s been this last week: preferably as little as possible!
Enter this beaut of a dress. I got it way back in the January Sales from H&M at an absolutely bargainous £5. Seriously. A fiver.
Made from pale blue denim (or maybe it’s chambray? What’s the difference between the two anyway? #rhyming), it’s a size bigger than I’d usually buy but it was the last one and I just couldn’t resist!
The back is open and ties in a knot, it has an elasticated waistband (perfect for foodie events!) and (wait for it) IT HAS POCKETS. I really do love pockets on a dress. Makes my life so much easier when I can just pop my Oyster card in a pocket and don’t have to dig through my massive handbags for it…
Oh and another plus point? No need for a bra. Hurrah!

These shoes have featured in quite a few of my recent posts (here and here) but I just love them so GOSH DARNED MUCH. They’re actual real proper leather and sooo comfortable.
My sunglasses are Limited Edition Rayban Wayfarers (circa 2010), my silver watch is a classic Tissot, nail polish is from Kiko in Spain and lipgloss is Aurora by Tanya Burr!
Yup. Another backless dress. More unrestrained boobies. Summer is definitely the time to rock the no-bra look.

Zoo Lates tomorrow! Lalalaaaaa! I’M SO EXCITED.
I love Zoos. I don’t know what it is about them. They turn me into an absolute giddy child!
I made my sister take me to Dublin Zoo when we visited a couple of years ago and, if you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll remember that Gary and I had a ball at the Zoo in Prague.
I’m trying to find a way to incorporate the Zoo-iness of it all into my outfit, without resorting to full-on animal onesies. Ain’t nobody got time for a onesie in this weather.
Any ideas?
