Surprise!
Bet you weren’t expecting to see me today.
Here’s the thing, my One Year Blog Anniversary is tomorrow.
(I know. A whole year. Crazy right?!)
I kind of want to do a special post for it, but I also didn’t want to completely skip Happy Monday, cos it’s my favourite thing to write.
So yeah. You’re getting a Happy Sunday post instead! :)
Here’s what made me smile this week:
1. THESE SHOES. I bought them in New Look on Friday to wear to an event and have never been so complimented on my footwear in my life. They’re soooo pretty + comfy! ♥
2. Pink wine and good conversation. I went to my first ever Thinking Bob social event on
Thursday and it was so much fun! I really enjoyed being able to stretch my debating/thinking/drinking muscles :)
3. This video of Tom Fletcher and Baby Buzz laughing at dandelions. ALL THE ADORABLE.
4. My new 50mm camera lens! So crisp! So clear! Suuuch good outfit pictures! (Even though I had to stand about a mile away from the photographer to fit in the shot!!!)
5. Full English breakfast. Gary and I made sausages, bacon, hash brown, scrambled egg, baked beans and tomatoes for breakfast yesterday and it was DIVINE.
6. Contact lenses. I finally, fiiiinally got round to fulfilling my New Year’s resolution of getting contact lenses fitted. I can’t wait til they arrive so I can go out and take photos without squinting blindly into the viewfinder!
7. Putting the world to rights with one of my best ladies. Espresso martinis, comfy chairs and a lovely, lovely catchup.
8. Bedtime. That feeling you get after a tiring day when your muscles unclench and relax into the mattress. Bliss.
9. My first 100+ on Instagram! This made me way more happy than it probably should have done, but I got some lovely, lovely, LOVELY comments on this Instagram photo, as well as hitting my very first every 100+.
10. Macmillan’s Big Night In! The lovely Polly hosted a fab night in with chilli nachos, strawberry daiquiris, cat cuddles and a jewellery sale. It was sooo nice to just chill out with the girls, watch trashy telly and have fun. And all for an amazing cause!
It’s been a busy one!
I’m actually really looking forward to a (hopefully) much quieter time this week.
Gary and I are now on the countdown for our trip to Mallorca (less than two weeks!) and I’m sooooo excited!
I really, really can’t wait to get home, change into my bikini, sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and soak up the sunshine. It’s going to be blissful.
My plan is to schedule a whole bunch of posts while I’m away so I’m planning to have an Ultra Writing Marathon over next week’s bank holiday.
I’ve got a massive list of my own ideas but please let me know if there’s anything you particularly want me to cover. I write down everything you guys suggest so if you’ve requested something before, don’t worry, it’s already in the planner :)
