Not gonna lie pals, it’s been a rough summer. Autumn is my favourite time of year anyway but this year it really does feel like a chance to close the door and start afresh. There have been little nuggets of the sparkliest joy in among the spiral though, and I want to make sure I don’t forget those. So that’s what this post is. For friends and family and colleagues that rally round when everything seems to go wrong at once and life feels really hard and really shit. For silly hobbies that make you smile. For snacks. And for dogs and cats and babies who are always delighted to see you. 🥰❤️ #LittleHappyHighlights

Too hot to cook. 🔥 Made a salad with the most enormous @riverford lettuce (we’ll be eating it for days!), chopped veggies, our favourite @boldbeanco queen butterbeans, and a tomato vinaigrette that I overpowered with too much garlic. 😅 Leftover sweet potatoes from earlier in the week on the side, a glass of Pinot Grigio from @jorvine_of_fulford, all eaten in front of the fan with reruns of Taskmaster (season 5, a classic!) 🥬🍅🥒🥂 #littlehappyhighlights

Family dinners in the summertime 🍋 Mum cooked fish pie and lemon tart, Gary made Pimm’s, Ches and I styled the table, Alberto provided the entertainment, and Dad poured the rosé (and lost spectacularly at rummy 😂)
