Happy Monday!
How was everyone’s weekend?
I had a pretty quiet one, which is exactly what I wanted and needed after my party nights on Thursday and Friday:
A massively long lie-in on Saturday followed by blog photos, blog writing and Miracle on 34th Street, then dinner, wine and a movie at Gary’s.
Sunday was also very chilled, had a wander through town, ate all the mince pies, drank all the hot chocolate and managed to sit through the whole 4 hour extended version of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
We then went down to watch Dawn of the Planet of the Apes with his flatmates, which was I really really enjoyed! Andy Serkis is such a legend isn’t he?
1. Catching up with Jasmin at the Debenham’s Christmas Jumper Party on Thursday!
2. Lindt chocolate bonbons and a chocolate Santa for breakfast on Saturday morning. Don’t judge me. It’s December, it’s Christmas, it’s allowed.
3. My new Boohoo grey roll neck jumper. I mentioned way back in my Autumn Essentials post that I heart roll neck jumpers. This one is super soft, fits perfectly and is sooo comfortable.I’m very tempted to get it in black (if it’s still in stock by next payday obvs)
4. Making my Cosmopolitan debut with this stunning pic! I tweeted in support of the Royal Holloway’s Feminist Society’s #UglyGirlsClub campaign and there you go. It was such a good/ugly pic I made it into the hall of fame. So proud.
5. Cuddles with the biggest most fleeciest Labradoodle you’ve ever seen in your life. And his name was Clive. So that made me happy too.
6. CUPCAKES. IN. A. JAR. The lovely Christmas Fairies at Talented Talkers sent me over a batch of delicious cupcakes in a jar from gdesserts. Perfectly moist (ew) sponge topped with sweet buttercream and glitter sparkles and silver balls. I ate two on Friday and have two left in my fridge for today. Roll on 12pm! :)
7. My work’s Christmas party on Friday was a BLAST. Champagne, sushi, contact jugglers (y’know, like what David Bowie sort-of-does in Labyrinth?), photo booths and even tarot readers! I made some new friends (yay fwends!), laughed a lot and was tucked up in bed by a perfectly respectable half past 12.
8. My new bobble hat with incorporated headphones. I got it in my goodie bag from the Debenhams party and it’s possibly one of the best things to ever happen to my ears. Warm and snuggly and I can listen to Taylor Swift all the way home in surround sound. Thumbs up.
9. Monty the Penguin wearing a bra. I loved it so much I made Jas stop on our walk back to the tube station just so I could take a picture!
10. Saturday nights on the sofa with red wine, chicken stirfry and Captain America: The Winter’s Soldier ♥
