Happy Monday!
Back to business as usual. Sigh.
I’m reaaally struggling to get back into my groove guys.
All I can think about is sunshine, blue skies, the seaside, garlic prawns and red wine…
Holiday blues. The struggle is real.
1. Date night by the sea. We had a lovely bottle of wine on the balcony, played Monopoly on my iPad (I lost. Multiple times.) and went for sangria (and a wifi pit-stop) down at the beach bar before hitting a sea-front restaurant for dinner. Perfect evening ♥
2. No. 7’s Stay Perfect Superlight foundation. I picked this up on a whim in the Boots at Gatwick. I was actually after the BB cream Jaye had recommended, but the sales girl and I were in absolute agreement that it was going to make me look like an Oompa Loompa (#palegirlproblems). So she recommended this one to me. And now I’m in love. And I kinda feel like I should go back and offer the salesgirl my future first-born child as a reward. THAT’S HOW MUCH I LOVE IT. (Review coming soon)
3. Catch up chats on the beach with Mamma ♥ I miss my Mummy. It was lovely to have a big proper catch up with the sand between our toes.
4. Snapchat. I’m entirely obsessed! Think I’m starting to get the hang of it now, so add me! My username is misskatyenglish :)
5. Banoffee pie. I made a banoffee pie for dessert last night. It was yum. Just look at the gooey deliciousness of that Dulce de Leche!
6. Taking the train to Soller. I’m gonna do a whole post on this but Gary and I took the really old, classic wooden train through the mountains and over to the town of Soller. I hadn’t done the journey since I was a little girl and I absolutely LOVED it. The train itself is adorable but the views over the valleys are also spectacular!
7. Garlic prawns. Battered squid. Croquetas. ALL THE SPANISH FOOD.
8. Brockley Park. Vicky and I headed over to Brockley Park on Saturday for an afternoon of sun, gossip and iced coffees. I’d never been before but it’s soooo lovely!
9. Laughing with the girls. After the park, Vix and I met up with a couple of her friends and I laughed so hard I cried a little bit.
10. Porridge + Netflix. Small things. I had a duvet morning on Saturday. It was bliss.
Thank you all so very much for all your lovely comments on last week’s Happy Monday by the way.
I know it’s a bit silly to worry about it, but I just wanted to keep you guys up to date on what’s happening and explain why I’m being a pants at replying to emails/comments/tweets lately…
I am still reading every single one, and really don’t want you to think they’re not being appreciated, because they SO are ♥
Anyways.
I’ve got some exciting stuff going on this week, as well as a whole bundle of photos and memories I want to share with you guys from Mallorca, so here’s hoping my brain picks up soon eh? :)
PS. If you’re sick of hearing about Spain, go check out Cat’s travels! She’s been road-tripping/camping in Oregon and it looks AMAZING.
