How it’s making the world a bigger, more open place. A place where we can share experiences and swap stories and exchange traditions.
So I’m a Brit celebrating the most American of all holidays? Well, who cares! Here, have a burger.
A couple of weeks ago, Three Mobile invited me down to celebrate the 4th of July with them at a fab BBQ party.
We got to eat proper American food, drink very British drinks (oh hai there Pimms!) and play a lot of very competitive drinking games!
ACTION SHOT.
The games were hilarious.
Beer pong always goes down well, but it turned into a massive Bloggers vs. Plus Ones match and OH BOY. Competitive doesn’t even begin to describe it haha!
Flip cup was another favourite, where each person has to down their beer and then flip the cup over in the air until it lands perfectly upside down.
Our British team got beaten quite brutally at this by the Non-Brits but it was hysterically funny to watch!
Seriously guys. THE FOOD.
We started with nachos + guacamole, tiny tubs of mac’n’cheese and deep-fried courgettes.
Then we got down and dirty with cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, cobb salad, corn on the cob and pretty much every single barbecue necessity.
For desserts, we had diviiiine crusty hot apple pies, served individually with vanilla ice-cream.
AND THEN, when we thought it was all over: out came the milk and cookies!
For reals though. Milk and cookies.
In tiny little milk bottles with red and blue striped straws that just BEGGED to be instagrammed.
As well as providing us with all the food, drink and entertainment we could possibly ever want, Three also gave us toys to play with!
I got given a Samsung 6 to try out, and it was fun to see how it compared to the Samsung Galaxy S5, which I tried with Three a few months ago.
First of all: IT’S HUGE.
Like, so huge that I could barely get my thumb to slide from one side to the other.
It’s still got the fab camera that I loved so much in the Galaxy S5 though, and the focus and colour settings are still as awesome as ever!
I couldn’t quite the hang of the settings and layout in this one (Apple are still kings of design in my honest opinion!), but it’s definitely a nifty phone to look at if you’re after something other than an iPhone.
It was SUCH a good evening.
