Happy Monday!
So I was doing really well on my To Do list this morning, but then I started looking at interior decorating stuff for my new room and SUDDENLY it’s 5 o’clock. Whoops!
See, I’ve not had a double room since I left home 6 years ago. So all my current bedroom stuff is A) at LEAST 6 years old and B) built for a single room. This is a whole new chapter for me and I’M REALLY EXCITED!
But yeah. Sorry. Enough wittering. Here’s what made me happy this week!
1. Bloody Mary. Remember last week when I said I don’t really drink Bloody Marys? Well apparently now I do. And they’re amazing. And I love them.
2. Interior decorating! As mentioned above. New duvet, new pillows, new bedding, new towels, new cushions… ALL THE NEW AND PRETTY. Less than 3 weeks to go!
3. Contact lenses. I can seeeee! I finally picked my lenses on Friday and now I can wear sunglasses and see at the same time. IT’S MIRACULOUS.
4. A Girl Like You by Gemma Burgess. One of my all-time favourite books ever, and most definitely my favourite chick-lit. Smart, sassy, funny and amazing. I cannot recommend enough.
5. #HeatWave. Picnics in the park, sunshine, ice cream and all things Summer. Yessss.
6. Lesbian pirates, inflatable parrots and Cher impressions. I think I gave myself a hernia from laughing so hard on Friday night. A few of my best blogger girls and I headed down to Wapping for one of Charlotte’s fabola walking tours. The tour was fabulous, but the company made it exceptional
7. Storms. I heart storms. And Friday’s mega-storm-beast was absolutely amazing and made me feel all cosy and happy.
8. Bullet journaling. I think I’m a bit late to the party with this one, but it has REVOLUTIONISED my world. It’s basically a super simple way of organising your to do lists but I’ve found it sooo helpful. An organisation post will be coming soon!
9. STEAK. I finally got my hands on the steak I’ve been craving for over a week. Gary and I had it with super-garlicky, cheesy mash and Bearnaise sauce and veggies and it was everything my belly had been dreaming of.
10. The elderly couple I saw dancing alone in the bandstand in the middle of a meadow in Kensington Gardens. All the smiley feels.
