I love going for walks.
It’s funny isn’t it? As a kid, I HATED them. Mum used to have to drag us kicking and screaming to go out on a Sunday hike up the hills. And now I can’t get enough of them!
Maybe it’s all the city living. When you’re surrounded by cement blocks and glass skyscrapers 24/7, it gets to the point that all you want is a bit of greenery in your life!
Richmond Park is a great one for going on long walks. I’m also a big fan of Wimbledon Common, which is deeper, darker, and looks like a bit like the Surrey countryside near where some of my family lives.
Some parts are so green and overgrown that they actually look like forest, which is brilliant.
You can really breathe in the fresh air, stretch your legs, clamber over logs and fallen trees and stomp through the mud there. 10 bonus points if you have a dog to take with you as well!

I haven’t been walking yet this year. Partly because I’ve been too busy on the weekends, and partly because, well… I had nothing to wear.
I’ve been after a new pair of wellies for ages.
(Since last year, in fact, when the pigeons on my balcony RUINED my Primark ones…)
So I was super pleased when Joules sent me a pair of their Green Premium Wellies* along with one of their Calverley Quilted Jackets* in navy.
The wellies are INCREDIBLY comfortable.
I’ve worn them out and about in the rain and they’re much better than any other wellies I’ve owned so far.
They’re such a classic colour and will go with everything. Hopefully they’ll also last me for years to come! (Though I’ve already got my eye on the next pair I want. Two words: POLKA DOTS)
The jacket’s also super comfy. Warm, but definitely light enough for walking in. I’ve been after a padded jacket for YEARS (seriously), and I think this one if just perfect.
It’s got tons of pockets and fits easily over my old t-shirt (Dorothy Perkins) and hoody (Primark) combo.
I also love the little cord detail on the shoulder!

Not the most stylish of outfits but A) super practical and B) suuuuuper comfortable.
Perfect for a Spring walk in the London “countryside”!
*I was gifted the Joules products.
As always, if I didn’t love it, I wouldn’t blog it! :)
