Happy Monday!
How is everyone doing on this fine day? :)
Lots of blue skies and sunshine in London today, which makes me happy!
First of all, thank you so much for all your lovely messages, emails and tweets about my Happy Monday post from last last week. They really were lovely, and made me smile when I was having a bit of a poopy time :)
Quick Update: I cleared gluten from my diet, just to see what would happen, and hey presto! I immediately felt tons better. Lighter, fresher and faaar more alert in general.
Which is great, because YES NO MORE MARSHMALLOW BRAIN. And also bad, because cake. Sad face.
But apart from that, this week has been pretty awesome!
I’ve spent a lot of time with one of my best gal pals, fiiinally met up with one of my favourite bloggers and also managed to give myself a tequila hangover by over-indulging on a school night.
Rookie error. (Though the cocktails were good enough for it to be totally worth the pain!)
I’ve also had some lovely blog feedback from you guys this week. I’m so glad you’re enjoying my posts at the moment, cos I did feel like I was finally starting to find my groove and, if you like it, that means I’m heading in the right direction!
1. Sunday brunch in Brixton. Just LOOK at that big pile of gooey, eggy, hollandaisy deliciousness! *insert heart eye emoji*
2. Long catch-up chats with my sister. Even though we’re not that far away from each other, we still don’t talk as often as I’d like and I miss her a whole lot. It was lovely to just give her a ring and talk about our stuff :)
3. The best red cabbage I’ve ever had in my life. Cooked in spices and jam and juice and whoknowswhatelse, served with roast chicken and crispy roast potatoes and sweet buttered leeks… DIVINE.
4. London snow. I know I included my first taste of 2015 snow in last week’s post, but this week I get to add actual LONDON snow to the list! We woke up on Tuesday morning to a blanket of white in the street outside and I immediately got myself involved with a Frozen-themed Facebook status. Because I’m basic like that. (I also got to wear my lovely new wellies. DOUBLE HAPPINESS.)
5. This golden retriever. Who does not want to go for a walk, thank you very much.

6. A long hot bubble bath. I rarely have baths and it was lovely to just kick back for an hour with my book and a hunk of Lush Brightside! Pampering perfection.
7. Baking with Gary. We spent a fab afternoon locked in the kitchen with pots of coffee and a pile of Betty Crocker treats I’d been sent to try out. I couldn’t actually eat the things (sigh) but we had a BLAST making them, and I can’t wait to share the photos with you on Wednesday :)
8. Big Hero 6. I’m just going to go ahead and put this out there: BETTER THAN FROZEN. Seriously. I don’t think that it’s going to do as well commercially as Frozen did. But it’s SO funny and clever and utterly heart-wrenching. I watched it with Gary and his flatmates and by the end of it all of us were in floods. Hilarious and brilliant. Loved it.
9. Kindle Unlimited. It’s like Netflix for your Kindle. You can download up to 10 books at a time for £7.99 a month and I’M SO EXCITED. All the Harry Potters are included, and the Hunger Games trilogy, and a whole load of other books I’ve been meaning to read. At the moment I’m completely hooked on The Luminaries.
10. Meeting the lovely Amanda (Rhyme & Ribbons). She’s a total babe and I’m so glad I fiiiinally got to meet her IRL! #soulsisters
I really need to stop making food the centre of all my happiness… Literally EVERY week there are at least 4 mentions of food in this list!
And then I wonder why my jeans are feeling too tight. Sigh. #firstworldproblems
